BACKING UP AND RESTORING YOUR VISTAPOINT SERVER BACKUP DATABASE Set this batch file up in the Microsoft scheduler * Usually I set it for M,W F after hrs C:\Program Files\iQ NetSolutions\VistaPoint Enterprise\Tools\SysDBBackup.bat Note: You can run it any time, it has very low overhead is quick and won’t hurt anything to do so > Output directory of the backups C:\Program Files\iQ NetSolutions\SysBackup CONFIGURED SERVICES (CISCO) Please export these registry keys selected branch > KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems, Inc. > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\iQ NetSolutions\CiscoSIM > KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\iQ NetSolutions\VistaPoint\CISCOSIM CONFIGURED SERVICES (MITEL) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\iQ NetSolutions\MiTAI SIM CONFIGURED SERVICES (3COM VCX) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\iQ NetSolutions\VCXSIM FROM ARCHIEVE FOR RECOVERY > Latest DB backup set > Registry keys (zipped up) ** Please fwd those pieces to support@iqnsi.com so that we can also safe guard them for your company. NEW SERVER > On your new server install your TSP service (Cisco TSP, MiTAI etc…) > Install the VistaPoint Server software Note: Initially fill out the License information and hit “cancel” to begin a 30 day trial. Contact someone at support@iqnsi.com so they can advise you when you can successfully re-acquire your valid license and bind it to your new server. > Decompress your system backups onto your new server > Import your registry keys by double clicking on each of them > Important! If this is a VCXSIM you will need to adjust the registry keys for the MAC address and enter in the NEW machines MAC address.
